As part of this year’s International Women’s Day, our women's network group Aspire hosted its first awards ceremony. The Aspire awards celebrated and recognised inspiring women throughout the business who had truly demonstrated our values.
Aspire received over 40 nominations for the six awards they had up for grabs. Congratulations to our final Aspire awards winners:
- Nivia Lawrence - Hyde's rising star
- Julie Costley - Most customer focused colleague
- Grace Rodney-Powell - Colleague who has gone above and beyond
- Jane Warren - Most supportive colleague
- Jaime Buckley - Most inspiring manager
- Ayo Akinwale - Mentor of the year
During the event, staff also heard from two key speakers; Simon Vevers, Client Services Director and Patricia Chinyoka, Diversity and Inclusion Lead. Both spoke about their stories and what equity and equality mean to them - which was the theme of this year's International Women's Day.
Grace Rodney-Powell, Chair of Aspire said: "The Aspire awards were a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate some of the truly remarkable women we have at Hyde. As well as praising success, the awards also gave us a chance to discuss inclusion, equality and equity and truly take part in International Women's day. We received some great feedback from the event and I am looking forward to what's next with Aspire."
