Residents at Scott Close, our later living scheme in Norbury, enjoyed ‘Christmas Carol Bingo’ using their new bingo machine and sound system. The bingo machine was thanks to Hyde colleagues who took part in the 10km Halloween Walk to raise funds for Hyde Charitable Trust.
And, who better to lead the festivities than our very own Christmas elf, Hyde Fundraising Manager, Nimi Shephard-Patel. She was joined by volunteers from Capco, who couldn’t wait to join in with some Christmas classics.
Nimi said: “The residents at Scott Close couldn’t wait to get their ‘eyes down’ for a Christmas full house, followed by Christmas drinks. Thanks to colleagues who took part in the Halloween Walk, the residents now have their very own bingo machine – which is something that they specifically requested. What better way to encourage residents to come out of their rooms and join in with communal activities.”
And a huge ‘thank you’ to the Scheme Officer at Scott Close, Kaydian Henry, who organised a wonderful Christmas dinner for residents with funds from the Big Give campaign.
