Our Brighton 10K runners raised more than £1,000 for Hyde Charitable Trust.

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in the Brighton Marathon 10K on Sunday 7 April, to raise money for Hyde Charitable Trust (HCT).

Six colleagues from Hyde and two colleagues from local charity, the Tarner Community Project, were able to soak up the amazing atmosphere, as the 10K set off ahead of the Brighton Marathon. The route took runners around the iconic city sights, before a stunning seafront finish.

This is just one of a series of events colleagues are taking part in to mark HCT’s 40th birthday, with the aim of raising £20,000.

Our Fundraising Manager, Nimi Shephard-Patel, has also secured places for RideLondon – Essex 60 (Sunday 26 May); The Big Half – Sunday 1 September; and Thames Path Challenge - Saturday 14 to Sunday 15 September.

Nimi said: “We’re really excited to have managed to get places on so many fantastic events this year to help celebrate HCT’s birthday. Not only are these events fun, but colleagues are raising much-needed funds for our communities.

“The fact the 10K team included not only our Hyde colleagues but also colleagues from our Brighton partners, the Tarner Community Project, made it extra special!”

Emmy Stock, our Digital Communications and Brand Manager, said: "Running through the sun and wind in Brighton with my colleagues was such an experience - the atmosphere was fantastic!

“We've been committed to fundraising for Hyde Charitable Trust and our local communities all month. Seeing our combined efforts paying off has been truly rewarding."
