Our cyclists have raised over £800 for Hyde Charitable Trust
A huge congratulations to our team of five cyclists who took part in RideLondon – Essex 60 on 26 May, to raise money for Hyde Charitable Trust (HCT).
The Ford RideLondon-Essex 60 gave thousands of amateur cyclists the opportunity to pedal past London landmarks and through rural Essex – all on traffic free roads. Our cyclists set off from Victoria Embankment into Essex via Epping Forest. They then glided past picturesque towns and villages, including Chipping Ongar, before heading back towards central London, completing the ride at Tower Bridge.
Ibrahim Awad, Home Ownership Team Leader, said:
"I was dreading this day because although I shaved my legs to be more streamlined, I hadn't trained as much as I would have liked or built up my saddle tolerance! However, it turned out to be an incredible experience, thanks to an amazing team.
“I had a blast and we're already planning to meet up for group rides and day trips. We still have a bit more fundraising to do for the Hyde Charitable Trust. Please donate and support the important work we do for our residents and communities.”
It’s not too late to sponsor the team;
