We’re growing our London Property Maintenance team to improve services for customers.
From 3 October 2022, our Property Maintenance team will be doing repairs and maintenance to 11,000 homes in the London boroughs of Greenwich, Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Camden, Islington, Harrow and Brent. These services are currently provided by our contractor Mears.
This means you’ll see changes to branding, including uniforms, signs, vehicles and communications (eg telephone calls and letters) from 3 October 2022 - don’t worry, your services won’t be affected.
“We’re committed to improving our services and being a customer-driven organisation. Delivering repairs and maintenance through our own teams will help to make sure we put customers at the heart of what we do,” Steve Austin, our Head of Maintenance said.
Some of Mears staff currently providing these services will become Hyde employees. “We’re excited to welcome more than 60 Mears employees, including supervisors, operatives and office staff as we expand our team in London,” Steve added.
