Topping out with a view

Local dignitaries from Harrow Council, including the Mayor of Harrow Councillor Janet Mote, recently joined Hyde and its joint venture partner Barratt London, in celebrating the topping out of Emerson Apartments at Eastman Village.

The Mayor was presented with a ceremonial trowel and invited to pour concrete on top of the Emerson Apartments, marking the block’s completion. The new apartment building overlooks a public park and communal gardens which surround Eastman Village.

The development will bring around 2,000 new homes to the area, as part of the wider regeneration scheme for North Harrow.

The Mayor of Harrow, Councillor Janet Mote, commented: “It was fantastic to be a part of this next new phase and witness the building becoming structurally complete.

"This topping out ceremony allowed me to get physically involved in the building’s completion and contribute to these high-in-demand homes to be ready for residents...I’m looking forward to seeing the community at Eastman Village continue to develop for years to come.”

Mark Docherty, our Director of Sales and Marketing said: “Eastman Village is providing a great range of homes to help meet the local housing need. Homes that will help support economic growth and will add to the existing, vibrant communities in this area.

"We’re all looking forward to more residents moving in and making this their new home and community.”

Danny Masters, Projector Director at Barratt West London, said: “It was a pleasure to celebrate another important milestone at Eastman Village and celebrate the development’s success to date in helping local buyers and the wider community, particularly as these apartments represent a revolutionary new concept by Barratt London to offer affordable homes as urban living becomes increasingly out of reach for generation rent.

"Not only this, but the neighbourhood transformation of Wealdstone has provided the area with plenty of open green space, a number of commercial units and has improved public amenities for all local residents.

“I’d like to thank the Mayor, Councillor Janet Mote, together with her colleagues from Harrow Council, and our joint venture partner Hyde, for their time in celebrating both this next step for Eastman Village and our continued partnership over the years.”
