Specialist housing (our later living and supported schemes) are managed by a dedicated team.

We've increased the number of officers in our schemes, to make sure our more vulnerable customers receive the dedicated support they need, while ensuring a regular Hyde presence.

Later living schemes

We’ve brought in a new role called Housing Scheme Officer, replacing the existing Scheme Coordinator role.

Your Housing Scheme Officer:

  • Carries out estate inspections
  • Coordinates repairs and improvements with our contractors
  • Tests emergency lighting testing in buildings with emergency lights
  • Can support with your queries. 

Supported schemes

We’re bringing in a new role called Supported Housing Officer, which will replace the existing Scheme Officer role.

Your Supported Housing Officer:

  • Carries out estate inspections
  • Coordinates repairs and improvements with our contractors
  • Carries out a fire risk assessment (FRA) with customers once a year
  • Checks fire alarms
  • Tests emergency lighting
  • May visit you at home to perform a welfare check.

Our Housing Scheme Officers and Supported Housing Officers will be champions for your area, and you’ll see them working in your area more often.
