North Kent Mind
An independent mental health charity operating in Dartford and Gravesham, Swanley and surrounding villages, and the Unitary Authority of Medway.
Their services include supported housing, affordable counselling, employment services and training. They also offer a range of well-being services including open activity sessions, support groups, self-management courses, peer-led activities, along with therapies and courses made available through the NHS Talking Therapies Service (commonly referred to as Improving Access to Psychological Therapies: IAPT). In partnership with Hyde and Barclay’s Eagles they lead on ‘Let’s Stay in touch’ which builds the digital skills of Hyde residents aged 50+ in supported accommodation.
This foodbank is part of a nationwide network, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. They provide supplies of nutritionally balanced emergency food – enough to last for three days - and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. They have provided vital support to individuals and families. Hyde first partnered with Medway Foodbank in mid-2020 to provide additional capacity to meet the growing demand on their services throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
