Tower Hamlets - 16 July

Arthur Deakin House, Boden House, Hanbury House, Hobsons Place, McGlashon House, Vollasky House

Thames Water is continuing work in the E1 area and, unfortunately, during this time you’re likely to see periods of low and no pressure to your water supply.

We’re continuing to monitor the situation, and we know that the pressure is still fluctuating in E1.

We’re almost there in terms of the infrastructure for new pipework for buildings, which should help with the fluctuating water pressure.

Vollasky House, Arthur Deakin House and Hobsons Place

Work to improve water pressure to your home has now been completed.

McGlashon House

We’re installing booster pumps, which should help with the water pressure in homes.

Work has started and should end in the middle of July.

Hanbury House

Work to improve water pressure to your home started in July.

As part of this work, on Friday 17 July, between 9am and midday, we’ll be turning of the mains water supply to the block to connect the booster pump to the water supply. This means that during this time, there will be no water supply to your home.

In advance, we recommend you:

  1. Store drinking water - keep a supply of bottled water or fill clean containers with tap water for drinking
  2. Fill a bucket with water to flush toilets if the supply stops
  3. Ensure that your taps are turned off.

Boden House

We expect work to start in July. Further information to residents will follow.
