There’s no hot water coming from any of the taps

If there’s no hot water coming from any of the taps in your home between 1 October and 31 March and you don’t have an electric shower to give you hot water, it’s an emergency. Please call us on 0800 3 282 282. You can contact us on this number 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Depending on when you call us, we could arrive quite late at night, so if you’d rather wait until the morning for repairs to be carried out, then please let us know before agreeing to an emergency call-out.

If hot water is coming from some of the taps, or you have an electric shower to provide you with hot water, or it's spring or summer, then it isn’t an emergency and you should report it as a routine repair.

Good to know

If you’ve got a gas boiler, hot water may be supplied from an immersion tank. This can take up to 12 hours to heat up the water, especially if it hasn’t been used regularly, so please give it time to heat up. If you still think the immersion tank isn’t working properly, please let us know when reporting your repair.

Extra help when it's needed

This toolkit is just a guide. If you or your household require extra support (for example due to disability, illness or age) and need to report this issue as an emergency, then please contact us to explain your circumstances and we’ll be happy to help.
