Hyde welcomes customers and colleagues of Arhag Housing Association

Arhag Housing Association has today transferred its homes and services to Hyde Housing Association Limited (Hyde) through a legal process called a Transfer of Engagements.

We explained this process would take place when we consulted with Arhag customers about the organisation joining Hyde earlier in the year.

Arhag provides just under 1,000 homes across London with the majority located in the boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets and Haringey. Arhag was formed in 1979 as a response to the housing needs of refugees from Africa.

We’ve invited all Arhag customers to join MyAccount, and our in-house repairs team will start delivering Arhag’s repairs services, except for gas repairs which will still be handled by Sureserve.

Arhag customers will also benefit from an improved customer service centre, the success of which is demonstrated by over 90% of Hyde customers being satisfied with the service they receive.

For Hyde, growing the organisation is a key part of our strategy to be able to invest more in Hyde customers’ homes and services over the long-term. Arhag joining the Group supports this aim.
