Our vouchers are having an impact on Hyde and Pinnacle customers

With this year’s school uniform vouchers now landing, Hyde customer Lucy has shared how much of a difference the support has made to her family. 

Lucy lives in Bromley with her two daughters, aged six and 15. Like many families, she has experienced first-hand how quickly school costs can build up. She told us how she keeps costs down by looking for cheaper options where she can: 

“School uniform is very difficult to manage because most of it has logos and can be very expensive. 

“We tend to go to charity shops to help keep the cost down, and sometimes there are school uniform sales where everything is reduced.” 

This year, we expanded the school uniform voucher programme so more families can benefit. Hyde and Pinnacle customers with children in reception to year 11, for the school year starting in September 2026, have received vouchers worth £50 per child to spend with Trutex. 

For Lucy, that extra support has made a real difference. Last year’s voucher helped her buy uniform for her younger daughter. Now the programme includes secondary school children too, she can buy essentials for both her daughters.

Lucy said: “The voucher helped us so much. We were able to use it to get lots of items, especially essentials like trousers and shirts. It’s been so helpful to us as a family.” 

For Lucy, the voucher did more than help with the cost of clothes. She explained how it helped her daughters start school feeling ready and confident: 

“It felt so nice taking them to school. It really boosted their confidence, and they felt so happy in the new uniform.”
