Hundreds of affordable homes coming to Woolwich

The 337 affordable homes are part of a wider development that will deliver 700 homes, alongside new community space, affordable workspace and public realm.

Our scheme, Woolwich Central, is being delivered under a £100m agreement with developer London Square, supported by grant funding from the Greater London Authority (GLA), through its 2021-26 Affordable Homes Programme.

The energy-efficient homes – 190 for social rent and 147 for shared ownership – will feature central air source heat pumps and will be built using materials and windows that minimise energy demand and emissions. London Square says the energy efficiency of the 700 homes will contribute to a 76% reduction in carbon emissions across the development.

The development is expected to be completed in 2029.
