Improving Kennington Park Community Centre

Communities are just as important as the homes that we build. That’s why we are investing in Kennington Park Community Centre (KPCC). KPCC provides vital services for the area. It is used by community groups including theatre groups, dance classes and for children’s activities and parties.

We’re pleased to announce that our plans to improve the Kennington Park Community Centre received unanimous approval from Lambeth Council.

We'll be:

  • Refurbishing and extending the current building to improve the quality of the facilities and to make the building more energy efficient
  • Replacing 8a Harleyford Street with a new community café and activity space
  • Improving the community centre courtyard - upgraded landscaping and new trees
  • Building eight new social rent flats

This redevelopment will modernise and futureproof the centre, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of the local community for years to come.

A temporary home for KPCC

We understand how important the community centre is and role it plays in the neighbourhood. That’s why we wanted to make sure activities could continue without interruption.

While we carry out the work to improve KPCC, community activities have moved to Magee Street.
