Following a recent re-tender process, we’re excited to announce that Pinnacle Group has been awarded the contract for our grounds maintenance services. The service will ensure the upkeep, safety and cleanliness of communal estate areas, enhancing the environment for our customers.

The new contract will go live from Wednesday 1 October 2025, so you’ll start to see Pinnacle colleagues out and about on our estates. They’ll be easy to recognise as they’ll be wearing dual Hyde and Pinnacle branded uniforms and driving dual branded vans.

Hyde colleagues have already been meeting with the Pinnacle teams to share vital insight and local knowledge.

Mark Batchelor, Hyde’s Director of Property Services said: “We’re committed to working with partners who can offer reliable and high-quality services to keep our communities looking their best. We know that working with Pinnacle will provide the best value grounds maintenance services for our estates.

“This new contract will mean more frequent inspections to ensure services are being delivered to the highest level. And, having just one provider will mean far more collaboration across our estates.

“But, please bear with us – we’re improving our neighbourhoods, but some improvement activities could make an area look a little worse before the improvements can be seen. For example, grassy areas may need to be cleared or cut back so that wildflowers or new planting can take root. This might leave them looking a little sparse, but the result will be more colourful and sustainable spaces in the long term.

“Thank you to all our customers who took part in the consultation and helped to agree an improved specification – we couldn’t have done it without your feedback.”

Neil Fergus, Pinnacle’s Managing Director, Facilities Management said: “We’re delighted to have won this contract and can’t wait to get to know Hyde’s estates and customers. We know that Hyde’s colleagues and their local knowledge will be invaluable in helping us hit the ground running.”

Pinnacle is also committed to delivering social value initiatives - improving environments and working in line with our biodiversity strategy. There will also be more community projects, including apprenticeships with a desire to support residents.

We’re giving time for Pinnacle to settle in and to get to know our neighbourhoods. They’ll be working alongside our Neighbourhood Officers to arrange drop-in sessions in the new year – which will give you the opportunity to meet Pinnacle teams and ask any questions that you may have.

Pinnacle will be providing grounds maintenance services (aside from Japanese Knotweed, where we use a specialist contractor) to all our neighbourhoods, other than homes managed by managing agents and homes managed by Brent PFI.

Many of you will already be aware that the Hyde Group acquired Pinnacle as an operating subsidiary in October 2024. Pinnacle continues to operate under its own management as a separate subsidiary within the group. This means that we required Pinnacle to compete in the tender process, which selected partners based on factors such as service quality, and value for money. As a result of the strong connection, our hope is that we can provide better, more joined up services with teams working together in our communities. As with all of our business areas, any and all profits that Pinnacle make are returned to the Hyde Group to be directly reinvested in our social housing.
