Thank you to all our customers that joined our recent social value virtual jobs fair, which we hosted along with Southern Housing Group, MTVH and Clarion Housing Group.
Our suppliers, ranging from repairs and maintenance right through to legal services, offered exclusive opportunities to access roles – both full time and part time – and Levels 1, 2 and 3 Apprenticeships.
Activities at the fair included one on one chats with suppliers and breakout sessions to find out more about the job opportunities they’re offering. Customers could then sign up for free training courses. Some even had their CVs reviewed by our suppliers, which then gave the suppliers the chance to handpick suitable candidates for their vacancy.
The numbers are now in and we’re delighted to announce that the event featured:
- 14 supply chain partners
- 75 exclusive jobs and apprenticeships offered
- Over 100 customers attended on the day
- 149 conversations took place with suppliers
- 719 virtual stall visits
- 67 job applications have been made by local residents and still counting!
Chichi Onyenemelu, Hyde’s Social Value Manager said: “This was such a useful event for our customers, whether they were new to the world of work, looking for a new role, or just wanted to develop their skills.
"A huge ‘thank you’ to all our suppliers that took part. Experts were available to offer advice and support for roles, from entry level to more skilled, including trades, business administration, marketing, legal, engineering, landscaping and construction.
"It’s fantastic to see that so many job applications have already been made following the event.”
