Partnership working means a victory for our Antisocial Behaviour team

Our Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) team have been working diligently over the past 12 months to help shut down a Chichester drug den.

Together with the Chichester District Council and the police, a ‘Full Closure Order’ was granted on the property under the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. This means that no-one may enter the address.

Nic Haig, ASB Service Manager, said: “This is a huge victory for the local community and our customers in Chichester. The perpetrators were running a large operation including selling drugs to children. It’s great to see all our collaboration and hard work paying off.”

Working with community stakeholders is a huge part of what the ASB team do, as well as the whole of Hyde. It’s our responsibility to ensure we’re not just building houses, but making them homes. It’s important that we’re active in the community, creating places where our customers can feel safe.
