Kennington Park Community Centre

Kennington Park Community Centre plans

Communities are just as important as the homes that we build. That’s why we are investing in Kennington Park Community Centre (KPCC). KPCC provides vital services for the area. It is used by community groups including theatre groups, dance classes and for children’s activities and parties.

 The proposal includes:

  • Refurbishing and extending the current building to improve the quality of the facilities and to make the building more energy efficient
  • Replacing 8a Harleyford Street with a new community space and eight apartments for social rent
  • An improved community centre garden.

Since last summer we have spoken with residents and users of the community centre to understand what would work for this site. This has helped us create this first set of plans and we would like your feedback before we submit the scheme for planning consent later this year.

Public consultation

We're hosting a public consultation event about the proposals on:

  • Saturday 16 March 10am - 3pm
  • Wednesday 20 March 3pm - 6pm

You can also come and try the following activities for free at the centre. You can drop in on the day, no need to book.

On Wednesday 20 March:

  • 5pm – Kids Boxing with ChampsWithin
