Please note that gritting is only carried out at our sheltered schemes.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to grit all our roads and estates. This is due to the size of the road network, available resources, and ensuring that essential routes remain passable for emergency services and public transport.
However, we understand how disruptive and concerning icy conditions can be. Conditions are monitored continuously, and gritting plans are reviewed as weather forecasts change. Where possible some locations may be treated, with priority given to sheltered schemes.
