Install a home charging point

You can apply here to install an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging point at your home.

Things to consider before you apply

  • Your property must have a suitable private parking area (garage, driveway or car port)
  • You must use a reputable supplier and a qualified installer
  • You must notify your district network operator, find out who your district network operator is here
  • It must be safe and not cause a health and safety or fire risk
  • You must make the arrangements and cover all costs, including any ongoing maintenance costs
  • You’re responsible for maintaining your EV charging point and for arranging any repairs
  • Your tenancy or lease must permit it. We may be unable to give permission if we’re not the freeholder of your property or if there are other restrictions on the site.
