If you want to install an EV charging point at your home, you’ll need to apply to make this home improvement. We don’t install charging points or supply the equipment – but you can apply for permission. Please read through our FAQs below to find out more and how to apply.
Things to consider before you apply
- Your property must have a suitable private parking area (garage, driveway, or car port).
- You must use a reputable supplier and a qualified installer.
- You must notify your district network operator. Find out who your district network operator is
- It must be safe and not cause a health and safety or fire risk.
- You must make the arrangements and cover all costs, including any ongoing maintenance costs.
