Building a more inclusive organisation
We've signed the Age-Friendly Employer pledge
To ensure that we’re as inclusive as possible as an organisation, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve signed up to the Centre for Ageing Better's Age-friendly Employer Pledge.
Sue Bunt, our Head of Organisational Development, is sponsoring this commitment. She said:
“Around 35% of Hyde’s workforce is aged 50 or more and our oldest colleague is 80! By signing up to the pledge, we’re making a public statement that we recognise the value older colleagues bring to the workplace. The pledge commits us to put in place one or two meaningful actions a year.”
We’re starting by forming a new group for colleagues in their 50s, 60s and beyond. This will be a supportive space to share experiences and a forum to make suggestions about how working life could be made better for older colleagues.
