Highlighting the work of our antisocial behaviour team

At Hyde, we want everyone to feel safe and supported in their home and community. That’s why we take strong, coordinated action to tackle cases of antisocial behaviour (ASB) and build safer neighbourhoods.

Our dedicated ASB team is currently managing more than 750 cases. The team works closely with customers, local police teams and other community partners to find the best outcomes and take action when necessary.

The cases include:

  • 178 noise nuisance cases - with many customers using the Noise App to report and record incidents
  • 160 cases related to drug use and dealing - with evidence shared with police and relevant partners
  • 195 cases involving verbal abuse, harassment or intimidation - including abuse towards our colleagues and contractors – something we take very seriously.

Since January, we’ve taken formal action where needed to protect customers and enforce tenancy measures, including:

  • Issuing 67 tenancy beach notices
  • Submitting 14 applications for injunctions to restrict harmful behaviour
  • Securing evictions, closure orders, suspended possession orders and taking enforcement action where injunctions were breached.

Antisocial behaviour has a serious impact on people's wellbeing and their sense of safety. We’re committed to tackling it head-on by working closely with partners including the police and local authorities.

Craig Kendall, ASB Service Manager

“Whether it’s through joint visits, closure orders, Community Protection Warnings or safeguarding referrals, we take a firm but fair approach – offering support where possible and action where necessary.

“We’ll continue to support victims and take a zero-tolerance stance on threats and abuse on our residents, colleagues and contractors.” Craig said.
