Tuesday 25 November is White Ribbon Day, an international day to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.
At Hyde, we believe that everyone has the right to feel safe in their home and neighbourhood. We know that abuse can happen anywhere – behind closed doors, between partners and with families.
Our Tenancy team responds to reports of abuse and works with customers to provide support and advice and connect customers who may be affected by abuse with specialist services.
Our Supported Living team oversees five refugee schemes for those escaping domestic abuse and works with managing agents who make sure they get the support they need.
Domestic abuse isn’t just physical. It can be emotional, financial, psychological or sexual. Domestic abuse can also include controlling and coercive behaviour.
