Community fitness provider 'And Fitness For All' has moved into a new home for its growing community fitness offer, Taking Care of Fitness, in Tooting.

'And Fitness For All' has been running regular sessions for people living in Lewisham (including customers at two of our later living schemes) for the last three years, thanks to support from Hyde Foundation and a £25k Evolve Fund grant from Hyde Charitable Trust.

The grant also enabled it to offer affordable rates for people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford fitness classes.

As part of our Funder Plus approach, we helped 'And Fitness For All' with business planning with its tender for the new premises. We also supported its fundraising to secure £25k from London Sport. This helped 'And Fitness For All' to continue to operate while it waited to hear about its new home.

The studio was opened by Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, MP for Tooting, who spoke about the importance of accessible fitness and the role it plays in supporting wellbeing across the community.

Chris Shaw, Founder of 'And Fitness For All', said:

“I'm not sure we would have got this far without you. Your enthusiasm for all the things we do has been a shining light, thank you for your trust in us and all the business support.”

Hyde Communities and Social Impact Director, Felicity Hunt, said:

“We’re delighted to see 'And Fitness For All' go from strength-to-strength. The sessions it runs at our later living schemes have been really well-received by residents. Classes had a positive impact on residents’ health and wellbeing, have encouraged social interaction and have given them something positive to do.”
