Children from Chichester City Football Club's Under 8 team are stepping onto the pitch with brand-new kit, thanks to a donation secured through Match My Project - our social value matching platform.
Local Neighbourhood Officer, Marcelo saw an opportunity to support Chichester City who provides affordable football training for local children and families. He created a sponsorship project on the platform, highlighting the positive impact the new kit would have on young players and their families.
The project was supported by Integrated Solutions at City Plumbing, who donated full football kits for the team, including tracksuits, t-shirts, shorts, socks and coats.
The donation, valued at £900, means that every child in the team now has a brand-new complete kit, reducing costs for parents and making sure everyone feels included.
Marcelo said: “All the children were really happy to receive the kit. It makes such a difference for families when children can take part without worrying about the cost of a new kit.
"I’m proud to be able to support something that brings so much value to the local community. By working collaboratively with contractor partners, small actions can make a lasting difference – both on and off the pitch.”
While not all the children involved live in Hyde homes, the initiative reflects our commitment to supporting neighbourhoods more widely and strengthening community relationships.
