Supporting our LGBTQ+ customers
Helping meet the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge and make our services more inclusive
We’ve signed up to the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge by HouseProud and Stonewall Housing.
We want to work with customers to meet the pledge, to listen to feedback and to better support our LGBTQ+ residents to live freely in their homes without fear or prejudice. We’ve formed a group to engage with us on this and would welcome more members.
The group held its first meeting on 18 February. The session included an overview of how antisocial behaviour (ASB) is managed, alongside discussion on factors that help residents feel more comfortable reporting ASB and accessing support when needed.
Members also explored how visibility of LGBTQ+ support, sharing positive experiences, targeted training, and a good understanding of our customer base can help strengthen inclusive practice.
