Wildbridge wins again
Our sustainable homes in Yapton won Best Large Social Housing Development at the 2025 LABC Building Excellence Awards
Wildbridge, our development of 250 homes in Yapton, West Sussex, has won another award: for Best Large Social Housing Development at the 2025 National Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards.
Wildbridge is a highly sustainable scheme of 92 homes for social rent and 158 homes for shared ownership. All the homes were built to EPC A, with timber frames, high levels of insulation and solar PV panels, and have electrical vehicle charging points.
The judges praised Wildbridge for demonstrating exemplary delivery of high-quality, sustainable homes at scale, while fostering a strong sense of place. The judges said: “Wildbridge sets a benchmark for socially focused, environmentally responsible large-scale housing.”
Hyde Group Development Director Jaime Buckley said: ‘We’re delighted Wildbridge has picked up another award, following its success at the 2025 First Time Buyer Reader’s Awards.
“Design prioritised placemaking, with open spaces, play areas and tree planting to enhance biodiversity. Together with our partner Thakeham Homes, we’ve created a highly sustainable community, delivering homes that meet local housing need, that’s sympathetic to its surroundings and enhances the character of Yapton village.”
The National LABC Building Excellence Awards are the largest business to business awards in the building control sector in the UK.
