We’re delighted to welcome Ying Wu and Tim Sanders to our Group Board
Ying Wu and Tim Sanders have joined our Group Board
Ying Wu is a member of our Group Housing Services Committee and Tim Sanders is a member of our Group Investment Committee. Both also live in Hyde homes.
Along with Debbie Ellison, this means we now have three customers on Group Board, as part of our commitment to being a customer-centric organisation.
Ying Wu is a director at Fingleton, advising senior executives and boards on competition and regulatory strategy.
Ying has extensive experience in helping businesses navigate mergers, investments, regulatory investigations and evolving regulatory and policy landscapes. She’s worked with organisations in a wide range of sectors, including housing, technology, financial services and telecoms. Ying is a qualified solicitor and previously worked at Slaughter and May in its Competition and Regulatory team.
Ying said: “I’m excited to join the Board and contribute to Hyde’s mission of serving its customers and communities. Having personally gone through the fire safety and cladding journey, I was impressed by how Hyde listened to feedback, learned from experience and consistently sought to do the right thing for its customers in a very difficult and emotive situation.
“I hope to bring my personal experience as a Hyde customer and my experience advising businesses through growth, as well as regulatory and policy change. As Hyde continues to grow and face an evolving operating environment, we have the opportunity to deliver even better outcomes for customers.”
Tim Sanders is Senior Surveyor at Modus Construction Consultants, where he’s delivered schemes and helped to grow the Construction Management division.
He’s an experienced commercial and project manager for industrial and residential developments, grade listed properties and historic heritage conservation projects, including Canterbury Cathedral, the Royal Portsmouth Naval Museum and Kew Gardens. Tim also worked in commercial and project management in the US banking and technology sectors, for clients including Google, Intel, Barclays and Citibank.
Tim said: “I believe good housing is foundational to public opportunity, wellbeing and thriving communities. Hyde provides safe, affordable homes and supports its customers build secure and fulfilling lives.
''There are opportunities to innovate and adapt to changing needs and the public landscape, and to strengthen customers’ voices at every level of Hyde. I hope to challenge, offer strategic insight and provide a strong focus to help shape decisions that deliver long-term social impact for customers.”
