Hyde New Homes wins big at First Time Buyer Awards 2025

Shortlisted by a panel of expert judges with extensive experience in the industry, the First Time Buyer Readers' Awards are industry-recognised accolades. The awards celebrate and reward housebuilders, housing associations and suppliers to the industry for their excellent work in helping first-time buyers get onto the property ladder.

The winners are selected through combining judges’ scores and readers’ votes to choose companies and developments they feel are making a significant difference to buyers and the industry. This year, Hyde New Homes was shortlisted in seven categories, won three awards for best in category and was highly commended in another, against stiff competition.

Best First Time Buyer Apartment: Kingston Wharf, Shoreham-by-Sea

Kingston Wharf’s excellent design, both inside and out, was highlighted in this award, with special notice paid to the bright full height windows and striking views of the River Adur. The design of the apartment buildings has been created to enhance residents’ quality of life, with the interlinking landscaping of the communal podium gardens and riverfront boardwalk enabling residents to meet and relax, encouraging a strong sense of community.

Best Off Plan Development: Wildbridge, Yapton

Wildbridge stood out for its future proofing, innovative design. The provision of much needed family homes in a coast and countryside location, good local schools, high quality specification and affordability have proved to be a winning combination.

Best Show Home: Whitstable Heights, Whitstable

This award went to the company that had the best show home, allowing the buyer to see the property at its maximum potential, giving them a realistic insight into their new home.

When Hyde New Homes planned the launch of the Theodore Court apartments at Whitstable Heights, the challenges a typical first time buyer faced in today’s market had to be considered. This spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom show apartment available through shared ownership needed to display an interior design that first time buyers could easily replicate themselves or complement using their own personal items.

Best Affordable Housing Provider: The Hyde Group Highly Commended

In this category, judges were looking for an organisation that has shown innovation in the way they design, build and market their properties as well as offering a variety of services which can help first time buyers onto the property ladder.

Judges recognised Hyde New Homes’s strong focus on innovation and integration of customer insights into every stage of development. They also recognised how the Hyde New Homes brand provides first-time buyers with quality homes that suit their financial and lifestyle needs, offering a range of tenures including shared ownership.

In addition to the above accolades, this is the twelfth consecutive year in which Hyde New Homes has earned a gold award for customer satisfaction. The team have also achieved the prestigious Net Promoter Score achievement award for customer recommendation, making exceptional customer service a fundamental part of everything they do.
