Staff benefits include
We have a defined contribution pension scheme. You can join the pension scheme as soon as you join us and you will have the following choices:
- To contribute 3% and Hyde will contribute 6%
- To contribute 4% and Hyde will contribute 8%
- To contribute 5% and Hyde will contribute 10%
You may decide to contribute more than 5% but Hyde’s contributions are capped at 10%.
A core level of life insurance is available for all employees and is equivalent to 4x annual salary.
Income Protection is available for all employees and this insurance pays 50% of salary once an individual has been absent from work for 52 weeks. Benefits under this scheme will cease to be payable:
- If you are able to return to work
- When you have been in receipt of Income Protection for five years
- If you leave our employment, for any reason
- When you reach retirement age
- In the event of your death
You will be entitled to 26 days leave per year in addition to the usual public holidays.
We provide, through Best Doctors, a service that aims to improve the quality of care you receive by identifying specialists who can provide second opinions and treatment plans.
Information and advice is provided, free of charge, by phoning the Member Care Centre which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Development & training opportunities

We provide, through Health Assured, various kinds of support for you and your family to help when there are matters that are of concern to you. These include telephone counselling and support and guidance on a whole range of lifestyle, health, medical and legal advice.
These services are independent and completely confidential. The helplines are open 24 hours a day every day of the year.

A core level of cover is provided, through Healthshield, giving you money back, up to set limits, towards your everyday healthcare expenses. This includes optical, dental and therapy treatments.

As long as the membership is relevant to your role we will pay your subscription.
We take wellbeing seriously at Hyde and have a programme which has four themes – livewell, copewell, workwell and spendwell. Our programme, beingwell, covers all aspects of workplace wellbeing – from physical and mental health to financial wellbeing as well as a positive working environment. We have wellbeing champions across the business who work with us to identify the key themes and activities for the beingwell programme each year and initiatives in your office will be publicised by the local wellbeing champion.
