The Technical Project Manager (Agile) is responsible for providing end-to-end program management leadership in support of the delivery of complex business and technical solutions in line with Hyde’s strategic objectives.

Role Overview

  • Provide leadership and guidance to oversee Programme wide release planning, facilitating Scrum of Scrums, Program Sync Ups and Roadmap delivery
  • Lead and support multiple Agile Project streams in a fast-paced environment by maintaining consistency of output and alignment of iteration and release goals to achieve the overall organisational vision.
  • Responsible for providing leadership and guidance in support of the delivery of business led initiatives, combining traditional delivery principles and practices with an Agile development and delivery approach.
  • Provide leadership and management to project managers and motivate project groups to work in an agile environment.
  • Enable the teams to complete assigned tasks and combine project management practices with agile development requirements.
  • Support the business’s process management by reaching across the business to get the status of work completed and assist with utilising agile methods as needed and assist in removing and overcoming obstacles in support of the team.
  • Manage the performance and output for major programmes of work; holding teams accountable for their commitments; helping resolve roadblocks.
  • Supporting the Agile Delivery Managers to define business requirement scope and schedule while focusing the teams on regular and timely delivery of value; organise and lead status and working meetings; own reporting and governance compliance; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plan and own delivery planning and budget management.
  • Promote cross business collaboration to deliver digital-enabled ways of working.
  • Own the relationship with 3rd party vendors driving delivery as well as adherence to CICD and Agile delivery processes and principles.
  • Ensure all the cross-functional teams involved in the complex delivery of the programmes succeed; make sure each member of the delivery team is fully engaged to maintain a sustainable level of pace.
  • Manage multiple deliveries / programmes of varying dimensions - technical complexity, Business areas, 3rd Party vendors.
  • Own the end to end Delivery lifecycle.

Hyde is looking to recruit a Project Manager to focus on Land & Construction projects.

The Hyde Group is one of the UK’s largest owners and developers of affordable housing. We have the funding in place to deliver 10,000 new homes over the next 5 years. To achieve this ambitious objective, we require an experienced Project Manager who can manage multiple residential construction projects, ensuring value for money and service excellence throughout the build lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage multiple construction projects concurrently using commercial ability to manage people, budgets and costs.
  • Responsible for the construction of both affordable and market housing for rent and for sale.
  • Liaise regularly with internal departments, particularly Sales and Marketing, Housing Management and Property Services to obtain their input to potential sites and existing developments.
  • Monitor build programmes and monitor and review in conjunction with Consultants to ensure adherence to programmes. This includes a minimum of monthly visits to site.
  • Liaise with the sales and marketing team to ensure up to date understanding of Show Home handover requirements, sales exchange and completion targets to ensure the Build programme optimises revenue generation for each development.
  • Ensure that at site meetings staff are aware of the programme and the first expected income on each development.
  • Identify any issues affecting programme delivery within your projects and resolve to meet required timescales.

We’ll teach you how to:

  • Mark and cut basic woodworking joints like a mortise and tenon, dovetail etc
  • Make, assemble and fit door lining then hang a door in it
  • Learn to fit mortise latch/lock in a block of wood with a brace and bit (hand powered drill)
  • Cut skirting board, mitre and scribe
  • Assemble stud work wall to drawing
  • Scribing to irregular surfaces

  • Provide a responsive and professional electrical service to residents ensuring all internal and external work sites are adequately protected, maintained and safe.
  • Deliver works such as rewires, remedial works, installation of smoke detectors, boiler re wiring, test and inspections, condition reposts and day to day responsive repairs maintenance.
  • Participate in the 'out of hours' service (1 in 6 weeks) delivery on a rota basis to ensure electrical issues are dealt with promptly.
  • Act as a liaison between residents and internal teams to ensure any property-related issues are highlighted and resolved promptly.
  • Undertake any required repairs in order to maintain high levels of safety, security and working conditions across Hyde Group properties (including vehicles and tools) in compliance with current policies and procedures.
