Diversity and inclusion

Diversity and inclusion are integral to our social purpose and we value the diversity of both our customers and our staff.  We know that diversity and inclusion are fundamental to the effective delivery of our services, and we're working to embed diversity and inclusion across all our business functions. 

To raise awareness, provide support and help Hyde to be an even more inclusive place to work we have four employee resource groups (ERGs).

  • PRYDE - this group focuses on inclusion, empowerment and improvement on behalf of Hyde’s LGBTQA+ staff
  • Don't Dis My Ability - this is our disability staff network group to help create an inclusive and understanding environment to allow everyone to perform and achieve
  • Embrace - this employee group aims to help eliminate discrimination, experienced and perceived, by Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff at Hyde and to promote inclusion
  • Aspire - this group provides a peer support network to inspire and support Hyde’s female employees to achieve their career potential, and increase wellbeing through networking opportunities and workshops

Each year Hyde also provides a unique development opportunity for talented younger colleagues (under 35) from departments across the organisation to form a Junior Board. As part of the board they will address three business challenges, which they then present to Hyde's Leadership Team. The Board was created to provide a challenging development opportunity for younger staff across the business, and to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
