Our Proposals
If the ballot is successful, our plans will include:
- Up to 450 new homes, including at least 200 of them being affordable through social rent or shared ownership
- Improved pedestrian routes and connections, including a new neighbourhood street
- Upgraded landscaping and pedestrianisation along part of Rhodesia Road
- Energy-efficient homes designed to prioritise daylight, to reduce costs and carbon emissions
- Courtyard gardens accessible to all residents
- A new nursery, with better facilities and improved outdoor space
- Spaces for shops and businesses to support the new community and provide local job opportunities.
New Homes
All existing tenants will have the opportunity to return to the regenerated estate and are entitled to a new home suitable for their needs. The new homes will:
- Meet high energy performance ratings, reducing energy bills
- Benefit from a private balcony or outdoor space
- Have built-in storage
- Be a mix of different sizes, from one to four bedrooms
- Have access to a residents’ communal garden
- Have dedicated cycle and bin storage
- Be accessible by lift, if the home’s entrance is above ground floor.
