Consulting with residents and the local community

Consulting with residents and the local community

We want Bellevue Mansions and Lambeth Self Help Housing Association residents, and the wider community, to help us explore and test options, and shape the designs, for the future of Bellevue Mansions.

Bellevue Mansions and Lambeth Self Help Housing Association residents

We want to hear what your priorities are and your thoughts and ideas about how we can make Bellevue Mansions and the surrounding area a great place to live. There are several ways to get involved:

Come along to a consultation meeting

We’re holding regular consultation meetings just for Bellevue Mansions and Lambeth Self Help residents. You’ll have the chance to meet the team, look at current design options, give your feedback and ask questions.

You can find the upcoming event dates here.

Join the Resident Steering Group

The Resident Steering Group represents the views of both Bellevue Mansions residents and Lambeth Self Help residents, and will help us understand their priorities. The group will help shape the plans and designs and ensure that the rights of residents are protected. And, should the regeneration go ahead, residents will help choose the contractor that will carry out construction work.

Meetings are held monthly at The Old Laundry, 20 Eastcote Street, London, SW9 9BY.

Having a diverse range of views is really important – we’d really like more tenants to join the group, so if you’re interested in joining, please let us know.

Your feedback and comments are very important to us and will help us to understand your thoughts on the design options. If you're unable to attend an event, please give your feedback by using the form below by 6pm on 14 December 2024

Once we have a preferred regeneration option, we will be setting out our proposals in a Landlord Offer, which we’ll then put to a ballot of Bellevue Mansions and Lambeth Self Help residents, and others living within the regeneration site boundary. You can find out how this ballot will work here.

Speak to TPAS, residents’ independent adviser

TPAS is an independent tenants’ and leaseholders’ adviser that supports more than 300 resident groups, housing associations and local authorities. TPAS is supporting Bellevue Mansions and Lambeth Self Help residents, to make sure their rights are protected and their voices heard. If you’d like to speak to someone, call 0800 731 1619 or email TPAS.

The local community

We’re holding regular public consultation meetings to give the wider community the chance to view the current options, give feedback and ask questions. You can find the upcoming event dates here.

What residents have already told us

Residents have already been giving their feedback on our initial proposals. They’ve told us they want us

  • Not to displace or break up the community, and they want the right to return to Bellevue Mansions
  • To seriously explore whether we should retain Bellevue Mansions or demolish them
  • To provide high quality, safe and energy-efficient homes, that are and cost-effective to run, and maintain
  • To provide generous homes that meet their needs, that are suitable for adult children and that tackle overcrowding
  • To provide shared private garden space for play and gathering
  • To provide equal access to shared green spaces and growing spaces
  • To retain local community amenities
  • To tackle antisocial behaviour through design
  • To be transparent and collaborative during the design process
  • To provide third party, independent advice on tenant and leaseholder rights.
