It’s important you let us in to your home when we ask to carry out essential checks
As your landlord, one of our key priorities is to keep you safe, as well as making sure your home is well-maintained, comfortable, decent and energy-efficient.
This means we have to regularly check fire and smoke alarms, fire doors, and gas, electricity and heating. These checks help us also make sure everything is working properly and your home complies with the latest safety regulations.
So, if we to visit your home to carry out an inspection, please work with us to arrange a date and time that best suits you.
Our colleagues and contractors will always:
- Book appointments in advance
- Show ID on arrival
- Treat your home with respect.
Stock condition surveys
We also carry out stock condition surveys from time-to-time. These inspections of the inside and outside of your home take around 30 minutes. The surveyor will collect information about your kitchen, bathroom, windows and doors, and how energy efficient your home is.
It’s important you let us in to your home to carry out these essential checks and surveys when we’ve made an appointment. In some cases, we’re legally required to complete inspections, so if you don’t let us in, we may have to take legal action to gain access.
