On 1 April 2025, THCH joined the Hyde Group
As a Hyde customer, you won’t see any changes to your service and there’ll be no changes to the service we currently provide.
Andy Hulme, our Chief Executive Officer said:
“Guided by engagement and consultation with THCH customers, colleagues, and partners, our vision for the partnership can be best captured as ‘THCH: Powered by Hyde’ - representing stability, growth, and new opportunities for customers of THCH.
“THCH: Powered by Hyde means maintaining local roots and connections with the community and combining this with new investment in homes and improved customer services. Together, we’ll create places people can be proud of.”
With Hyde’s strong foundations and expertise, the partnership aims to deliver safe and decent homes, great services, strong communities, and a real voice for customers. We’ll do this by delivering:
- a new dedicated ‘in-house’ repairs service for customers
- investment in homes, shared spaces, communities, and building safety projects
- a continued local presence, with a team that knows their community and is accessible to customers, adopting Hyde’s neighbourhood’s model
- access to support and advice services, that reflect individual needs
- investment in community centres to offer more support and inclusive services to meet customers’ needs
- a real voice for customers, where we listen and act on feedback to continually improve
- the new homes local people need, including social housing
The partnership’s legal completion marks the beginning of bringing people, systems, and services together.
Andy added: “We’re excited about the future. For us, success is about working closely with our customers and community to make a real difference. That’s the heart of THCH: Powered by Hyde.
"Change takes time but we’re committed to making improvements quickly, but thoughtfully, with our teams already working hard behind the scenes to create meaningful change. We’ll keep you informed and listen to feedback to help us get better.”
The decision to move forward follows extensive due diligence reviews of both organisations’ finances, governance, and performance. A strong business case was presented, highlighting additional investment into homes and communities over the first three years of the partnership.
The Boards also considered feedback from THCH’s resident consultation before giving approval.
