Keeping you and your homes safe is an essential part of being a good landlord
We regularly check your homes to make sure they’re safe. In 2024/25 we carried out 34,035 checks on gas appliances, lifts, asbestos, legionella, electrical systems and fire safety.
We check the inside of all your homes at least once very five years and last year we carried out 8,018 stock condition surveys.

Our Building Safety Programme
Since 2017, We’ve spent £93m – on top of funding from the government’s Building Safety Fund and costs met by development partners and contractors – to resolve safety issues on our tallest buildings.
Work to fix issues we’ve found is either underway, or planned, at 27 Higher Risk Buildings (buildings that are typically taller than 18m or seven storeys).
The government recently announced that social housing providers will be able to access the same building safety funding as private building owners.
We hope this extra £1bn, available between 2026 and 2030, will help speed up remediation of homes.

Improving the energy efficiency of hundreds of homes
We continued to work with the Greener Futures Partnership to deliver work funded by the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund.
We were awarded £6m, which we’re match funding to improve about 600 homes across Chichester.
The aim is to bring as many of the homes as possible up to EPC Band C or above, by the end of the programme in September 2025.
