Our regulatory gradings

The Regulator of Social Housing publishes its view of how well we’re performing as a landlord each year.

This ‘regulatory judgement’ includes gradings for our governance and viability. The most recent judgement was published on GOV.UK in March 2026.

We’re pleased that the Regulator of Social Housing has confirmed that Hyde remains compliant with its regulatory framework.

We’ve received the highest governance (G1) and consumer (C1) gradings, and have been reconfirmed as compliant under the viability standard (V2).

Alongside improving customer satisfaction, the regulatory gradings tell us that we have a strong, resilient organisation that is delivering our ambitious strategy to become the best housing, property and community services provider in the UK.

There’s still much that we want to achieve. There are exciting opportunities within our communities, and the breadth of our customer and client offer gives us confidence for the next phase of our plans.  We’re far from complacent, and there’s more that we plan to do, so we continue to deliver better outcomes for our customers, communities and clients.

Our Governance grading: G1

Our G1 grading demonstrates that we’re governed effectively and transparently, we adhere to relevant laws, safeguard the sector’s reputation and that we’re accountable to our customers.

Our Consumer grading: C1

Our C1 grading demonstrates that we’re delivering for customers in line with the standards. We provide an effective repairs service and support customers to sustain their tenancies, and treat customers fairly and with respect.

Our Viability grading: V2

Our V2 grading demonstrates that we meet the viability requirements and that we have the financial capacity to deal with a reasonable range of ‘adverse scenarios’ (ie things that could affect our ability to continue to deliver homes and services), as we manage risks to ensure our continued compliance.
