Your Role as a Management Accountant
You’ll play a key role in Hyde’s financial cycle, with a particular focus on annual budget setting, reforecasting, long term planning and producing management accounts that guide strategic decisions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head of Business Support with annual budgets, forecasting, and monthly accounts.
- Collaborating with the long-term Financial Planning team to ensure cohesion between annual, medium-term and long-term financial plans using the Brixx modelling tool.
- Producing accurate and insightful financial analysis for the Group.
- Liaising with Treasury and Financial Control teams to ensure alignment across financial outputs.
- Maintaining a group risks and opportunities schedule to support strategic forecasting.
- Regularly updating and reconciling forecasts based on internal and external drivers.
- Generating monthly finance KPIs and updating financial reports.
- Ensuring concise and relevant commentary on performance.
- Ad hoc analysis and project work for senior stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a confident and motivated finance professional with strong analytical and communication skills. You should be able to work collaboratively and independently across different finance teams.
Essential:
- Recently qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
- Strong Excel skills (including lookups, IF formulas, pivots, and charts)
- Strong analysis and problem-solving and skills
- Proficient in PowerPoint and confident presenting financial insights
- Confident communicator and networker
- Proven ability to check and review financial accuracy
Desirable:
- Proficient with Power BI skills
- Familiarity with Workday or Brixx
- Previous experience in real estate, construction, housebuilding, business services, or housing management
