Key Duties

As a Groundworker Fencing and Bricklaying at Hyde, you will be working within our customer homes to provide essential property maintenance and repair services, ensuring properties meet our safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out a range of groundwork tasks, including paving, drainage repairs, concreting, and small-scale excavation.
- Respond to maintenance requests, assessing and addressing groundwork issues efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and Hyde’s quality standards.
- Communicate with customers on-site, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with other trades and supervisors to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in groundwork, particularly in property maintenance or repairs.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid CSCS card

As a Roofer Trade Supervisor at Hyde, you will take a hands-on, mobile role, spending most of your time out of the office, managing a team of roofers and ensuring that works are delivered to a high standard. This role will focus on both internal and external roofing repairs, requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership to ensure successful delivery across our Kent patch.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of 8 roofers, ensuring right first-time completion of roofing works.
- Carry out site visits to monitor quality, progress, and health and safety compliance.
- Work closely with subcontractors to ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
- Support and guide operatives in problem-solving across all roofing disciplines, including flat roofing, pitched roofing, and liquid plastics.
- Monitor budgets and ensure repairs are raised and allocated to the correct codes.
- Report on performance, quality, and compliance in line with organisational standards.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, including with residents, contractors, and internal colleagues.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in roofing, with knowledge across all roofing systems (flat, pitched, and liquid plastics essential).
- Previous experience supervising or managing a team is preferred, but we will also consider applicants with strong roofing experience looking to step up into a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in social housing is desirable but not essential.
