As a Legal Counsel at Hyde, you will lead on all legal work relating to the charging of Hyde’s property assets. You will play a vital role in ensuring Hyde’s homes are legally ready to be used as security for loans or bond issues, directly supporting our ability to raise funding, invest in new homes, and achieve long-term strategic goals. Alongside this, you’ll support a wide range of legal matters, from acquisitions to compliance, ensuring Hyde’s legal services remain forward-looking and efficient.
Key Duties
- Lead all legal work related to property charging, including due diligence, title rectification, and arranging for panel law firms to prepare Certificates of Title.
- Provide legal advice on the chargeability of new acquisitions and variations to agreements affecting future developments.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Development, Governance, and Asset Teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring accurate legal records for Hyde’s property portfolio.
- Support, coach, and supervise paralegal and legal support staff, contributing to the team’s professional development.

Key Duties

- Up-to-date working knowledge of ASB case investigations and housing legislation.
