If your boiler or radiators aren't working – contact us as soon as possible so we can get them fixed in time for winter.
Now that the weather is turning colder, it’s important that your boiler has its annual service and that your home is ready as the winter weather approaches. The last thing you want is for your boiler to stop working when the temperature drops. Also, if your gas appliance has not been checked for 12 months it may be unsafe and you may also be in breach of your lease.

Your responsibilities are different if you are a homeowner.
Check your heating
If you’ve had your service in the last 12 months, then check your radiators and storage heaters by turning your heating on (turn the room thermostat up to above current room temperature by 2 or 3 degrees) and ensuring the radiators heat up. You should run the system for approximately 20 minutes to ensure it's working correctly. If any radiators or controls are not working properly, get in touch with us.
Test smoke alarms and CO detectors
All homes should be fitted with a smoke alarm and Carbon Monoxide (CO) detector. These play an important role in keeping your family safe so it’s important you check the batteries, and clean them regularly with a vacuum cleaner to ensure they are in good working order.
Get your chimney swept
If you have an open fire or wood burning stove, it’s important to have your chimney swept annually and don’t forget to use a fireguard.
