Repairs for residents who are self-isolating or in quarantine

Last updated 19 July 2021

If you, or someone in your home, is self-isolating, then we can only carry out emergency repairs  and have to follow strict procedures to keep everyone safe.

  1. When the operative arrives, please unlock the door but do not open it. You should then move to another room (a room not affected by the repair) and close the door, so the operative can come into your home. Customers must maintain 2 metre social distancing at all times.

  2. On entering your home, operatives will immediately put on the following protective equipment:
    - Disposable gloves, overshoes and an apron
    - A mask
    - Eye protection (goggles or visor).

  3. Operatives will clean the immediate work area with disinfectant wipes/spray.

  4. The operative will not eat or drink while carrying out the repair.
  5. Once the repair is finished, the operative will let you know they are leaving and that it is safe for you to move around your home.

  6. Once outside, the operative will take off all the protective equipment and clean their hands with disinfectant. Goggles will be disinfected for reuse and all disposable protective clothing and equipment is double bagged, tied and marked with your address for tracking purposes.

  7. We will call you if there is anything else you need to know, or do, regarding the repair.
