Where can I get online?

Free internet access at our community centres

Many community centres provide free internet access, and computers for residents and the local community to use.

There’s free internet access near you!

If you’ve got your own laptop, tablet or smartphone, there are lots of public places which have free internet access – from your local Wetherspoons to the local library.

If you’re looking for free or low cost access to computers or IT courses, UK Online is a great resource. You can search your local area on their website, call their helpline or text to be directed to your nearest providers offering everything from free computer and wi-fi access to learning and training opportunities.

  • Call: 0800 77 1234
  • Text: Text ‘online’ and your post code to 80809 (Texts cost 25p+ standard network rate)
  • Visit the UK online centres website

You can also pop into your local post office, and they’ll help you find your nearest place to access the internet. If you give counter staff in any post office your postcode they will print off your nearest 5 free/low-cost internet access points or training courses
