Following extensive consultation with the public, we collated all feedback and the design team revised their proposals based on this input. The changes we made included setting the building back from neighbouring properties; creating more green space around the blocks; improving access from Wellington Road and ‘stepping’ the blocks to lift the height gradually.

The design team also responded to concerns about the site being a car-free development, creating twelve additional parking spaces and undertaking a vehicle access study to ensure public transport options were in close proximity. Overall, the changes to the design meant a revision in the number of homes from 122 to 111.

The planning application has been submitted to the Brighton & Hove planning department. It is expected that the plans will be reviewed by the planning committee and a decision will be made by Spring 2019.
