Latest update - 23 May 2022

In collaboration with our fire engineers, we’ve now reviewed the PAS9980 guidance, taking into consideration the RICS guidance and the Fire Safety Act. We have confirmed inspections will be required to satisfy the PAS9980 guidance and to produce an EWS1 certificate as every material, of every elevation of the external wall, must be reviewed to properly assess the risk.

For Parker Building, we are required to carry out investigations to the entire external wall system in order to provide an EWS1 certificate. These investigations started on Monday 11 April 2022 and included ‘opening up’ sections of the external walls for the fire engineer to review.

The fire engineer has requested additional investigations into the internal courtyard, for which they will have to erect four small scaffold towers. The survey may include spaces between flats and next to windows and external doorways. Any affected areas will be reinstated. This may be noisy at times. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

Unfortunately, this will affect the original timeframe, which will be extended until these investigations are carried out. We’ll update residents on expected timeframes for the additional investigations and the EWS1 form.
