Hyde’s online resident engagement portal the OAK and the Hyde Village Tenants and Social Committee have both been shortlisted at this year’s National TPAS awards on 14 July, following their success in the Southern finals earlier this year.
The OAK has been shortlisted in the Excellence in Digital Engagement category. This innovative online platform provides access to resident consultations, multi-format information, e-learning and communication tools (forums, live chat and online meetings). There are also secure areas for resident committees to access online documents and forums for debating and discussing issues.
The Hyde Village Tenants and Social Committee has also been shortlisted, in the Excellence in Equality and Diversity category. This nomination recognises the positive impact made by the committee in Islington, London. The group organise engaging projects which are tailored to the specific needs of the community and successfully combat social disadvantage, isolation and exclusion amongst the most vulnerable in society, as well as building community cohesion.
