Our social value partners help vulnerable customers enjoy some Christmas magic
Let’s get the parties started
When our Regional Housing Manager, Janine, wanted to bring some festive cheer to our later living schemes, she knew that Match My Project could grant her Christmas wish.
Thanks to Match My Project, our later living schemes across Peterborough, North Hampshire, Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire all enjoyed a magical Christmas.
Janine tells us more:
“The Later Living Team Regional Managers applied for funding, and after receiving approval, the schemes received funding.
“The vouchers were given to Housing Scheme Officers, who then went shopping for food, decorations, gifts and raffle prizes -bringing our communities some joy.
“I’m so excited about our Christmas parties. They help us engage with residents who are isolated within their community for different reasons, build on relationships they have with their neighbours and support their wellbeing.”
Altogether, the later living schemes include 1,970 individual homes (flats and bungalows), and applied for £15,360 in funding.
Thank you to our social value partners who provided the vouchers for the parties including Breyer, Wates, Just Ask and Alphatrack Systems.
Christmas at The Oysters
Thanks to our social value partners, residents at The Oysters in Whitstable enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party, where surprise guests included Mrs Claus (Housing Scheme Officer Michelle) and Christmas Elf (Regional Housing Manager, Ashley) ensuring all residents joined in the fun.
Not wanting to miss out on the celebrations, Hyde’s Chief Operating Officer, Neal Ackcral, jumped off his sleigh and dropped in to lead the raffle, which helped make some residents’ Christmas with magical prizes.
Essential support
And, thanks to social value, we’ll also be ensuring that our vulnerable customers won’t go hungry this Christmas.
Our Advice and Advocacy team submitted an application for £12,000 for Christmas shopping vouchers for our vulnerable customers. Each voucher will be worth £50, meaning 240 eligible customers will be able to enjoy a Christmas meal.
We’ve sent out vouchers to our customers who have worked with the Advice and Advocacy team this year for food support, or who have been nominated by the team as most in need.
Thank you to our social value partners Breyer and Alphatrack for supporting our customers with the vouchers.
