James Shaw, Hyde Group Director of Property Services, said: “Being named as a finalist demonstrates just how much of a game-changer the HQS is for the social housing sector, by giving residents unprecedented choice when their homes are being modernised.
“Since it was launched just over a year ago, customer satisfaction has increased, rent arrears have fallen and Hyde has saved millions of pounds, by only replacing kitchens and bathrooms when necessary and by reducing materials, maintenance and replacement costs.”
The announcement comes just two weeks after the HQS narrowly missed out on the Best Customer Impact prize at the National Housing Maintenance Forum Awards, where it was praised by the judges for providing “great resident choice and savings through good partnering and contractor management”.
